Mr. Mustafa Kemal YILMAZ was promoted as Executive Vice Chairman by the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) Executive Council in its meeting on January 12. Mr. YILMAZ started working with the ISE in 1994, and had been Chief of Staff since 2007.

Mr. Mustafa Kemal YILMAZ was born in Istanbul in 1966. He graduated from Lycée de Galatasaray Istanbul suma cum laude in 1985. He earned his BA degree from Marmara University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Business Administration Department) suma cum laude in 1990. He completed Finance-Accounting graduate program at the same faculty in 1993 as valedictorian.

He started his career in 1991 as specialist with the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of Treasury, Directorate General, Banking and Exchange, where he worked until 1994. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the Institute for Banking and Insurance Studies at Marmara University in 1998, and became associate professor of finance-accounting in May 2004. He joined the ISE in 1994, where he worked as specialist for the ISE Derivatives Market in 1994-2005, and Risk Management Department in 2006-2007. He was Chief of Staff during 2007-2011.

Mr. YILMAZ served as consultant for Tehran Metal Exchange and Iran Agricultural Commodity Exchange as representative of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in November-December 2006. Mr. YILMAZ has been an academic consultant with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Turkish Sector Assembly since 2007. Mr. YILMAZ speaks French and English and is married with two children.
