Adnan Metin Appointed as Executive Vice President at Borsa İstanbul

According to Board of Directors decision dated April 3, 2015, Adnan Metin appointed to Executive Vice President position at Borsa İstanbul. Mr. Metin will be responsible for Corporate Development and Information Technology.

About Adnan Metin

After Kayseri High School of Science, Adnan Metin graduated from Boğaziçi University Industrial Engineering department in 1996. He started to work at Elan Consulting as ERP and Process Consultant. He worked as project leader for numerous projects in logistics, production and sales sectors for 3 years. During this period Adnan Metin was also responsible for Elan ERP sales and consulting team.

In 1998, he founded BSP Consulting and provided consulting services for more than 15 companies in Israel as senior consultant for 3 years. He was Consulting Unit Manager between 1998-2001 at BSP Consulting, focusing on Baan and Oracle Applications’ sales and delivery services.

In 2001 he joined Ülker Bizim as IT and Operations Director. During his 4 years in Ülker Group, he managed strategic planning and business development processes and took a leading part in creating company organization, designing retail business processes and establishing infrastructure and systems as a member of company’s founding  team.

Between 2005-2008, he provided consulting services for different industries at Innova Consulting as Partner and Managing Director. During this time he also undertook a key role in e-ITO transformation project as Advisor to President of İstanbul Chamber of Commerce.

In 2008 Adnan Metin was assigned as Advisor to Turkish Airlines’ Board of Directors. Starting from 2009 he was appointed as CIO at Turkish Airlines. For the following 5 years he was responsible for business process transformation program of Turkish Airlines and its subsidiaries. He managed the transformation program with 500 people and yearly budget of USD 150 million.

In addition to his position at Turkish Airlines, he was also Member of the Strategy Steering Commitee of Star Alliance shaping member airlines’ short, medium and long term technology and business development strategies. He served as Council Member at international technology company SITA.  He was also Board Member of TÜBİSAD (Turkish Informatics Association) between 2012-2014.

Adnan Metin became a Board Member at Medyasoft Danışmanlık ve Eğitim A.Ş. starting from 2014. According to Board of Directors decision dated April 3, 2015, Adnan Metin appointed to Executive Vice President position at Borsa İstanbul to be responsible for Corporate Development and Information Technology. He is married with two kids.
