Borsa İstanbul launches a new training program for the employees of Bosna Bank International (BBI)

A training program for the employees of BBI is launched in line with the MoU signed in 2015 between Borsa İstanbul and Bosna Bank International (BBI) to facilitate mutual exchange of know-how and experience. A total of 16 employees will receive training for one year from Borsa İstanbul and Kuveyt Turk through 4 groups with a 3-month training period.
Borsa İstanbul, who plays an active role in the Eurasia region within the framework of Istanbul Financial Center project, launched a comprehensive training program for BBI employees in line with the MoU signed with BBI in 2015 to facilitate mutual exchange of know-how and experience. Kuveyt Turk Participation Bank Inc. (Kuveyt Turk) will also provide support to the training program. The program will cover training of 16 BBI employees over a 1-year period by Borsa İstanbul and Kuveyt Turk through 4 groups with 3-month training period each.
Borsa İstanbul and Kuveyt Turk will cooperate to implement the training program. The trainees will receive training from Borsa İstanbul in the first month of the training period and from Kuveyt Turk in the remaining two months. The training program, which started on February 8, 2016, is designed to contribute in the areas where BBI employees are keen to aquire know-how and experience.
During the first month of the training program led by Borsa istanbul, experts from Borsa İstanbul Equity Market, Debt Securities Market, Derivatives Market (VIOP), Private Market, Research & Development, Index & Data, Listing, Marketing & Sales, Strategic Planning & Investor Relations, and Compliance Departments as well as Takasbank and MKK, will provide training between February 8th and March 4th. Kuveyt Turk will undertake the months of March and April for the first group.
Borsa İstanbul CEO Tuncay Dinç, in reference to the training program and the respective MoU, said; “We have historical ties with Bosnia Herzegovina. We think this training program will contribute to further development of Bosnian markets which is a great pleasure for us. Know-how transfer between our institutions will also strengthen the links between our countries. We believe this comprehensive training program will pave the way for more long-term cooperation opportunities.”
BBI CEO Amer Bukvic, pointed out that he finds the training to be received by BBI employees quite valuable. “BBI is the only Bank in Southeast Europe operating according to participation banking principles. Our further steps of development can not be detached from friends and colleagues in Turkish financial institutions. Therefore, training of BBI employees at Borsa İstanbul is very important. It would be our great pleasure to cooperate with Borsa İstanbul and Kuveyt Turk in many other projects” he said.
