Comprehensive growth to be discussed at the IVth Sustainable Finance Forum

Sustainable Finance Forum will be held with the title “Comprehensive Finance for Comprehensive Growth” for raising awareness on the financing of environmentally sustainable and socially comprehensive growth on May 11. Minister of Development Cevdet Yılmaz will deliver an opening speech at the Forum. Encouraging financial comprehensiveness and practices in this field will be discussed at the Forum.

The Fourth Sustainable Finance Forum, organized by the Business World and Sustainable Development Association (SKD) in cooperation with UNEP Financial Initiative (UNEP FI) and Global Compact Turkey will be held on May 11, 2016.

The Forum is hosted by Borsa İstanbul, sponsored by Garanti Bank and Şekerbank, and supported by TSKB. The Forum’s theme for this year is “Comprehensive Finance for Comprehensive Growth” for raising awareness on the financing of environmentally sustainable and socially comprehensive growth, which is frequently mentioned in the 2016 – 2018 Medium Term Program.

The opening speeches will be delivered by the Minister of Development Cevdet Yılmaz, Borsa İstanbul Chairman Himmet Karadağ, UN Global Compact Turkey Chairman Mustafa Seçkin, and SKD Turkey Chairman Canan Ercan Çelik. The Forum will discuss the importance of the comprehensiveness of finance for strong and sustainable growth.

As part of Forum, domestic and foreign specialists will discuss the relationship between sustainable and comprehensive growth and financing from the perspective of the business world and share their best practices in this field at panels entitled “Encouraging Financial Comprehensiveness in Developing Markets” and “Good Practices in Financial Comprehensiveness”.
