Borsa İstanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) launched the third online virtual trading competition on April 3, 2015 in order to increase the market awareness of the participants and provide a better understanding of the derivatives contracts. The trading game will run till April 30, 2015 and the winner of the game will win a trip to FIA Asia Derivatives Conference (Singapore).

The competition is held on VIOPS, a web-based derivatives trading environment. Via trading game, players can trade both futures and option contracts available on VIOP and be able to measure their portfolio performance.

During the game, players can trade without any limitations as long as they have enough collateral. Margin requirements will be determined according to the SPAN-Like methodology developed by Borsa Istanbul specifically for the competition.

Each player receives a virtual TRY 100,000 to build an investment portfolio and 3 traders who build the most valuable portfolios as of April 30, 2015 will win the prizes stated below.

First prize: Free pass to FIA Asia Derivatives Conference (Singapore) December, 2015 including transfer and accommodation expenses

Second prize:  Tablet PC

Third prize:  Tablet PC

Prize of the winner of university students category*: Tablet PC
