Turkish biometrical security systems, Papilon Savunma’s shares started to trade on Borsa İstanbul with the ticker code “PAPIL” following the opening bell ceremony. TL 33 million revenue was raised from Papilon Savunma’s IPO along with 3.788 investors from 49 different brokage houses. The IPO process was led by Gedik Investment.
Papilon Savunma which is the Turkey’s leading company in identity recognation and identity management by developing biometric security systems for public and national security is started to trade on Borsa İstanbul with the ticker code “PAPIL” following the opening bell ceremony. Papilon Savunma got high demand from investors in the IPO. The IPO process was led by Gedik Investment.
Opening bell ceremony was held at Borsa İstanbul with the participation of Borsa İstanbul Executive Vice President Mehmet Gönen and Borsa İstanbul Executive Vice President Dr. Korkmaz Enes Ergun, Papilon Savunma Chairperson Murat Kerimoğlu, Papilon Savunma Executive Director Banu Altay, Gedik Investment Chairperson Erhan Topaç, Gedik Investment CEO Onur Topaç, Gedik Investment General Manager Metin Ayışık.
Pointing out that Papilon Savunma was the sixth IPO this year, Borsa İstanbul Executive Vice President Mehmet Gonen said:
“We accept nearly four thousand new investors as new partners to Papilon. If we encourage our investors to invest more in our capital markets and we attract a wide variety of investors both domestic and foreign or both institutional and individiual, we can continue on our way to become a global finance center.”
In his speech, Papilon Savunma Chairperson Murat Kerimoğlu indicated that Papilon Savunma’s main mission is to contribute to the establishment of peace and trust in our own country and he believes that they succeeded it.
