Bantaş Bandırma Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., engaged in producing metal boxes and tin boxes in its metal offset printing factory in Balıkesir – Bandırma, went public on its 29th anniversary. The shares of the company representing 39.53 percent of its capital started being traded on Borsa İstanbul Second National Marketon May 18, 2015 . Initial Public Offering (IPO) for Bantaş A.Ş. was realized on May 12-13, 2015 at Borsa İstanbul Primary Market. Through the IPO Bantaş A.Ş. increased its capital from TL 13 million to TL 21.5 million, with nominal TL 8.5 million in total and TL 2.40 per share.
At the bell-ringing ceremony on Monday, May 18, 2015; Bantaş A.Ş. Chairman Adnan Erdan said; “We will work harder and earn more and in doing so we will further develop our company and share our earnings with public through our new shareholders”.
Borsa İstanbul Executive Vice President Adnan Metin indicated that Bantaş A.Ş. was the fourth company to start trading at Borsa İstanbul in 2015 and added; “Market capitalization of the companies being traded at Borsa İstanbul reached 652.1 billion TL. Number of companies being traded on the Second National Market is 92 and Bantaş A.Ş. is the third company from Bandırma”.
