As the Market established within Borsa İstanbul starts trading, the sector was briefed on the benefits of membership with Borsa İstanbul at a meeting held in İstanbul.

Jewelry sector, one of the most dynamic sectors of the Turkish economy, and which has a significant share in exports, is now exposed to new opportunities as the Diamond and Precious Stone Market starts to operate. The Market offers Borsa İstanbul members the opportunity to trade among themselves on a tax free basis. Members of the Jewelry Exporters Association and the leading jewelry companies were informed about the trading and other applications that the Market allows jewelers to carry out in the Market. 

In his speech at the meeting held at Çırağan Palace Hotel, Jewelry Exporters Association Chairman Ayhan Güner briefed the audience about the advantages of membership with Borsa İstanbul, while Borsa İstanbul Executive Vice President Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez gave information about the details of the applications. At the meeting, Borsa İstanbul experts answered questions by the sector representatives.

At the meeting, Precious Metals and Diamond Markets Manager Oğuzhan Aloğlu and VIOP Group Manager Muammer Çakır delivered presentations entitled “The Opportunities that Borsa İstanbul offers for the Jewelry Sector”, and “Gold and Currency Futures and Options”, respectively.
