Borsa İstanbul’s Awarded Virtual Portfolio Competition

4th VIOP Virtual Portfolio Competition, organized by Borsa İstanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) to allow participants to experience trading on VIOP and to manage a portfolio using derivatives, will be held between October 5 and 30, 2015.

Participants that register for “VIOPS Virtual Portfolio Competition” at http://viops.borsaistanbul.com will be able to trade the futures and options contracts traded on VIOP on the web-based derivatives trading platform simulation called VIOPS, and measure their performance.

Participants will be able to give orders during the day, without being subject to order or number of trade limits.  A margining method similar to the post-trade margining method currently used in the Market, and developed especially for the simulation will be applied.

Award Winner goes to Singapore

Each participant will start trading with a virtual portfolio of TL 100,000. The best 3 performers will be awarded. Furthermore, the best performing university student (unless among the best 3 performers) will be awarded.

The winner will be entitled to visit the FIA Asia Derivatives Conference in Singapore in December, including transportation and accommodation costs. The second and third best performers will be awarded tablets.

The participants’ portfolios will be evaluated with the participation of Borsa İstanbul Head of Derivatives Muammer Çakır, and the results will be announced to the public.
