Borsa İstanbul participates in Turkey-Greece Business Forum

The Business Forum aimed at improving the commercial relations of Turkey and Greece as well as developing joint investment opportunities in third countries was held with the participation of the Prime Ministers of both countries. The Forum was organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) in cooperation with Aegean Exporters’ Association under the coordination of the Ministry of Economy, Republic of Turkey. At the event, Borsa İstanbul Chief Business Development Officer Mustafa Kemal Yılmaz informed the audience about the opportunities that Borsa İstanbul offers for Greek companies.

Borsa İstanbul participated in the Turkey-Greece Business Forum organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) in cooperation with Aegean Exporters’ Association under the coordination of the Ministry of Economy, Republic of Turkey in Izmir on March 8, 2016. Prime Ministers of both countries participated in the event.

In his presentation at the Forum, Borsa İstanbul Chief Business Development Officer Dr. Mustafa Kemal Yılmaz said that thanks to the technological and legal transformation Borsa İstanbul has recently undergone, it is becoming the most important exchange of its region, and therefore offers opportunities for access to finance for companies currently traded on the Athens Exchange. In his speech, Dr. Yılmaz gave examples on dual listings and detailed information about the Fast Track that has been launched recently.

Top executives of the leading companies of Greece participated in the Business Forum, which discussed improving the commercial relations of Turkey and Greece as well as developing joint investment opportunities in third countries. Furthermore, at one-on-one meetings, participants were informed about the dual listing and other prospects for access to finance that Borsa İstanbul offers to Greek companies.
