SECOND NATIONAL MARKET
Second National Market enables Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME's) that promise a growth potential and those companies that fail to meet the listing criteria of National Market, to have their equities traded on the equity exchange.
The purposes of the Second National Market are;
- to ensure that equity prices are formed in a regular and transparent market under competitive conditions;
- to provide liquidity to equities,
and thereby, to create inexpensive funding and growth potential for the companies, providing them with the opportunity to supply funding from the capital market.
The authority to determine the stocks to be traded on the Secondary National Market rests with the Board of Borsa İstanbul.
The principles governing trading and settlement on the Listed Market (National Market) also extend to Second National Market.
