Makim Makina starts trading on Borsa İstanbul on June 17, 2022. Shares offered to the public will be traded on BIST MAIN with the ticker code “MAKIM”.

In his address at the Opening Bell Ceremony, Korkmaz Ergun, the CEO of Borsa İstanbul A.Ş., stated the following:

“Distinguished guests,

Today, I welcome you all to your home, to the Opening Bell Ceremony hosted by our Exchange as we celebrate the listing of Makim Makina at our Exchange.

Makim Makina is a high-capacity company engaged in manufacturing for strategic sectors. The company makes significant contributions to the growth of our country through exports, production, investments and employment.

Makim Makina serves as a good model proving the achievements of a venture capital investment trust. Taking this process one step further through an IPO is of utmost importance for our company and capital markets.

As Borsa İstanbul, we extend our efforts for sustainable growth, to ensure that growth can be financed through capital markets.  We invite our companies to Borsa İstanbul to strengthen their equity capital and achieve a healthier financial structure.

In 2021, we have set a record in the history of our Stock Exchange with 52 companies that launch an IPO. We have reached an IPO amount of approximately 22 billion TL. We will close the first half of 2022 with 23 companies going public and an IPO amount of 10 billion TL.

Thus, according to the 2021 data of the World Federation of Exchanges,

• We are the first stock exchange in terms of an increase rate in the number of IPOs.

• We are the third Stock Exchange in terms of an increase rate in financing raised through IPOs.

• Furthermore, we are the most liquid Stock Exchange in the world, namely, we rank first.

Makim Makina launched an outstanding IPO with a total IPO amount of 158 million TL and a sale to approximately 170 thousand investors.
