Within the framework of the Statistical, Economical and Social Research and Training Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), VIOP organized a two-day seminar entitled “Regulations on Derivative Markets” at Azerbaijan Baku Stock Exchange on December 16-17, 2014.

The seminar was delivered by Borsa İstanbul Derivatives Market Manager Sait Şatıroğlu, and was participated by the staff of Azerbaijan Baku Stock Exchange, Settlement Institution and Regulation Institution.

Azerbaijan regulatory institutions have been working on launching derivative products on organized markets. The participants were offered theoretical information on the operation, risk management, margining and surveillance principles for the derivatives traded on Borsa İstanbul. Furthermore, the new market making program and VIOPS simulation program were promoted at the seminar.
